Computers, Laptops & Wi-Fi
Computers
Public computers are available for use during library hours and include access to the following software and accessibility tools:
- Inkscape Vector graphic design software for creating logos, illustrations, diagrams, and other artwork.
- IrfanView 64 Image viewing and editing software that supports a wide range of file formats.
- LibreOffice Free office software for creating and editing documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and more.
- Magnifier Built-in accessibility tool that enlarges text, images, and other items on the screen to improve visibility.
- Microsoft Excel Create spreadsheets, organize data, and perform calculations.
- Microsoft PowerPoint Design presentations with slides, images, charts, and multimedia.
- Microsoft Word Create, edit, and format documents such as letters, resumes, and reports.
- VLC Media Player Free multimedia software for playing videos, music, DVDs, CDs, and a wide variety of audio and video file formats.
Flash drives are available for purchase at the Circulation Desk for $5.00. If you need headphones or a webcam while visiting the library, just stop by the Circulation Desk. Additional information on our Public Internet and Computer Use Guidelines.
Laptops
Available for checkout for 14 days and may be renewed twice. Chromebooks and laptops may also be borrowed and used within the library.
Wi-Fi
Available throughout the library. Patrons are welcome to connect their own laptops, tablets, smartphones, and other wireless devices. Learn more about wireless networking requirements and access liabilities and limitations.
